Am I Too Loud? is a simple tool that tells you when your voice has crossed above the room's baseline — nothing more. If something's not working right, or you just have a question, here's how to reach us.

You set a baseline by holding still for a few seconds while the app listens to the room around you. From then on, it shows you how many decibels louder you are than that baseline — not an absolute measurement, just how you compare to the room you're in right now.

Rooms change — a group walks in, music starts, a door opens. Am I Too Loud? adjusts automatically for small shifts, and will prompt you to recalibrate when the room changes a lot. You can also tap Recalibrate any time from Settings.
No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync. Everything runs locally on your device.
Am I Too Loud? does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, audio, or usage information.
Am I Too Loud? uses your device's microphone to measure the relative sound level of your environment. This audio is processed entirely on your device, in real time, and is never recorded, saved, transmitted, or shared in any form. The app has no ability to access your speech content — it measures sound level only.
This app does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking services. No account or sign-in is required or offered. No personal information is collected at any point.
All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is synced to a server, because there is no server.
Am I Too Loud? does not share data with any third party, because no data is collected in the first place.
Am I Too Loud? does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
